Many people have an animal at home: a cat, a dog, a parrot or a hamster, maybe a rat or a lizard… Often we get pets for the sake of our children – because they ask for them and because they learn to take care of their “little brothers. However, some people refuse to communicate with animals, because they are afraid of allergies or do not like to have pet hair or smell in the house. Still, we want to tell you why the influence of animals on humans has many more positives than negatives. Let’s take a closer look at how different animals affect us.

To begin with, there is already a definite name for the positive effects of animals on human health – animal therapy, or zootherapy. In many countries of the world are opening special rehabilitation centers, in which the main treatment is the communication with animals, because such treatment is already recognized by the World Health Organization.

The impact of animals on human health:

  1. For stress, depression and bad moods.
Almost all pets help people to relax. Cats, dogs, aquarium fish and many others have a similar reflexotherapeutic effect. Funny situations that happen to our and other people’s pets lift our spirits even when we see them on computer screens or television, not to mention when it happens right in front of us. Being able to relax and maintain a good mood helps to dissipate the day’s stress and keeps us from sinking into depression. Feathered friends are especially good at dealing with these human problems.
  2. In psychological and emotional developmental delays, as well as in cases of mental trauma.

In these cases, aquarium fish will help little. Cats and dogs do help, but dolphins or horses can be the main “healers”. In the process of communication and play, dolphins affect the human biofield, which is the main mechanism of treatment. In other words, dolphins share their energy with the person, as a result of which it becomes easier. Riding helps to increase concentration, improve memory and thinking. Such zootherapy is prescribed for cerebral palsy, childhood autism, Down syndrome and CNS disorders.

  1. In memory disorders and dementia.

Scientists say that almost all animals help cope with memory disorders. Even visual contact with reptiles during a visit to the terrarium can reduce the symptoms of diseases such as neurasthenia and dementia. It helps a lot to improve the memory by communicating with dogs, dolphins and horses.

As we see, the positive effect of animals on humans is significant and confirmed by scientists and personal experience of many people. However, communicating with animals is also a great responsibility, and a test of human qualities, and the ability to love, that is, to give and receive care and warmth.
